New AICP Members

 

On May 13th, twenty-six qualified Utah Chapter planners took the American Institute of Certified Planners examination.  Chapter President Chuck Klingenstein, Professional Development Officer John Janson, and the Utah American Planning Association Chapter executive board would like to offer their congratulations to the following sixteen planners who passed this years test.

The professional planner certification process begins with the completion of an AICP membership application found in the Membership Requirements and Application booklet.  AICP requires that all applicants meet specific education and years of professional planning experience qualifications.  The AICP examination, administered once a year, is designed to measure a candidates planning knowledge and experience.  The 2001 examination will be held on Saturday, May 12th.  Interested planners must submit a completed application by December 11th to the American Institute of Certified Planners, 1776 Massachusetts Avenue NW - 4th Floor, Washington D.C., 20036.  Questions can be e-mailed to: ACIP@planning.org or by contacting the Chapter's new Professional Development Officer Jon Nepstad at Fehr & Peers, (801) 261-4700 or j.nepstad@fehrandpeers.com.
